| Toddler Bed in Orange | 20" H x 30" W x 52" D | 60 lbs |
In May 2004, J.B. Schneider and Antonio Turco-Rivas set out to start a company, doing what they love and involving their families in that experience. Being parents they knew the home is one of the primary environments where children play and learn and saw a need to improve play at home; particularly play furniture. Together they decided that was the perfect fit and Pkolino (inspired by the word Piccolino "little-one" in Italian) was born. To date P'kolino has achieved what it set out to do! They love it, their families are abundantly involved and their products bring joy to other parents and children.

Comments about P'kolino Toddler Bed in Orange:
I got this product from my mother in law as a gift recently and we love it!
I read the previous review and called the manufacturer to learn more about the product. They told me that the headboard and foot-board have been redesigned to make them sturdy.
I told my mother in law that this was the product we wanted and we are very happy with it - the new version is very sturdy.
We ordered the orange version because it works well for my boy and my daughter (she will use it in a few years).
It was fairly easy to assemble and it looks great on my littleone's room.

Comments about P'kolino Toddler Bed in Orange:
Let me start by saying that this bed constantly gets comments about how cool it is. It's a very funky little design that fits in well with a kid's bedroom. My little girl loves it.
The assembly was easy and overall the design is relatively sturdy, with one glaring exception that makes me knock this down a star. The headboard attaches with just a few screws on a little 3/4" thick piece of wood, which means even when brand new it wobbles back and forth. This wobbling of course gets worse and worse no matter how tightly the screws are turned.
I'd say that if you are handy enough to screw your own block of wood or extra bracket in to secure the headboard, go for it. Otherwise, look elsewhere for a more sturdy product. It's a shame, because this flaw could be fixed for about a dollar's worth of hardware.
The only other complaint I had was fit-and-finish. Slight blemishes and scratches from the factory were actually covered with the stickers that they use to identify the pieces. And it wasn't an accident, because some of the stickers were in really weird places that only make sense if they were there to mask the flaw. It's clear that the factory workers were pulling one over on the inspector... gotta love "made in China". But hey, the price is right.
