Birki was founded in 1993 in Germany by Stephan Birkenstock, who remains General Manager of the young family brand today. Birki's featured the famous cork-latex footbed from the beginning. It's initial collection also featured professional and leisure time clogs made of ALPRO®-foam (PU) with exchangeable, anatomically molded footbeds.
